PAM dosing device

DAWT·2022-05-09

System Introduction

PAM dosing device is used for dosing polyacrylamide flocculant in sludge dewatering machine room. PAM can be divided into anionic, cationic, nonionic and complex ionic. The powder is a white or slightly yellow powder with a molecular weight between 4 million and 18 million. It is soluble in water, but the dissolution rate is very slow, and it is easy to decompose when the temperature exceeds 120 °C; its aqueous solution is a colorless viscous colloidal transparent liquid, without Poisonous, non-corrosive, soluble in water. Products of different varieties and molecular weights have different properties. Sludge dewatering mainly chooses cationic PAM.

How it works

1. The principle of flocculation

When PAM is used for flocculation, it is related to the surface properties of the flocculated species, especially the potentiodynamic potential, viscosity, turbidity and pH value of the suspension. The potentiodynamic potential of the particle surface is the reason for the inhibition of particle aggregation. Adding PAM with opposite surface charges, It can reduce the potentiodynamic potential and condense.

2. Adsorption bridging

PAM molecular chains are fixed on the surfaces of different particles, and polymer bridges are formed between the particles, so that the particles form aggregates and settle.

3. Surface adsorption

Various adsorptions of polar group particles on PAM molecules.

4. Enhancement effect

The PAM molecular chain and the dispersed phase connect the dispersed phase together through various mechanical, physical and chemical effects to form a network.
